Ms. Teresa Deanne Lopez
Welcome to Artsy Tuesday!
My name is Teresa Deanne Lopez, a Charlotte native on a mission to create art that uplifts and inspires today's youth! I enjoy educating students from preschool all the way to Junior High and I believe as a creative person there is an obligation to create things that positively impact children's minds.
Before becoming an educator I took up illustrating children's books and fell in love with the process. Partnering with local Charlotte author and fitness instructor, Charleszetta Smith Ford we were able to bring the story B3 Goes to the Playground to life in 2018. This light hearted story encourages kids to stay healthy and always look for opportunities to be a good friend.
Animal art is a large part of my body of work and animal themes is something I often incorporate into my lesson plans. Children love animals an often see a lot of themselves in different creatures!
I received my Associates of Arts from CPCC in 2015 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with a concentration in Illustration and minor in Art History last spring from UNCC. Check out my website for more information about my work, or if you're in need of an illustrator!
